I am a freelance web designer with a background in e-commerce content management located in Northern Virginia. In my free time I am a photographer, artist, writer, and marathon runner.
Since 2001 I have worked in content management for online retail sites. For the last three years I have been studying web and graphic design and doing freelance web design work whenever possible. In 2011 I completed the Web Design Specialist certification program at Northern Virginia Community College, and I hold a BA from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with majors in Spanish and International Studies.
My professional experience ranges from freelance web design, content management, and consulting to copywriting, photography, and personnel management. Before settling down to my desk job, I was a waitress, retail salesperson, and even a baker, and during my college years I lived and studied abroad in Norway, Finland, and Costa Rica. This variety of experiences has taught me that hard work and good communication are key elements getting a job done well.
